BANKRUPTCY ATTORNEY
Attorney Justin Lefko is a bankruptcy attorney with the firm. He grew up in South Florida, graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2007, where he was a member of the Political Science Honor Society and served as a Presidential Ambassador, representing the university for potential donors and students. Mr. Lefko obtained his law degree from Saint Thomas University School of Law in 2012, graduating magna cum laude. Justin was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2012, and he is admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
In 2020, Justin was appointed to the Lawyer Advisory Committee for the Southern District of Florida Bankruptcy Court, where he acts as a liaison between the Court and bankruptcy law practitioners throughout the district and aids in the development, implementation, and management of various bankruptcy-related programs.
During law school, Justin was a contributing author of the prestigious International Human Rights Law Review. His article “Immigrant Laws, Obstacle Preemption and the Lost Legacy of McCulloch,” discussing how states created and implemented their own immigration enforcement laws since, at that time, the federal government was inconsistent in its enforcement of federal immigration law, was published in 2013. Justin also served as the secretary for the Environmental Law Society, he interned at the 4th District Court of Appeals in 2012, he volunteered at the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue, and he organized a beach clean-up with over 20 volunteers at Hallendale Beach as part of a national beach clean-up project.
In 2013, Justin joined the Law Firm of Hoskins, Turco, Lloyd & Lloyd, practicing exclusively in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, and mortgage modifications. His primary purpose as an attorney is to help people during their worst financial times rebuild their lives so that they have a strong and stable financial future.
He and his wife Lauren live in Port St. Lucie with their two children. In his spare time, Justin enjoys coaching youth baseball and soccer, building furniture, playing golf, and spending time with his family.
